Bali News – Yuktesh on “The Island of the Gods”

- by Richard Pursell

Yuktesh arrived in Bali on the 22nd September 2010 and was whisked away to Namaste Retreat Centre in the mountains, through artisan villages displaying their stone carvings, verdant green paddy fields and past the numerous Hindu temples that adorn this sacred island.

His first duty was to be welcomed by his “brother” and friend, Rick Pursell, who he guided through the 21-Day process in India and Level-2 in Fiji. They met again on Rick’s home turf earlier in the year,

when Yuktesh attended the Anthony Robbins Mastery Course. It was a warm reunion for both of them and for Yuktesh, an introduction to Rick’s wife Lita, also a Blessing Giver, and their twin daughters, Maya Shanti and Mia Bianca.
That evening, Yuktesh addressed a gathering at Namaste – The Spiritual Shop in Ubud and gave a short talk on his life and work, whetting the appetites of many for the Insight Briefing to follow in a few days time. After watching an inspiring

movie entitled “The Day After Peace”, the five Deeksha Givers present, gave the Blessing to the attendees and everyone went home with a smile on the face and love in their hearts. The following day, Thursday 23rd September, was spent at the centre, being shown around the superb tropical gardens and communing with nature, in preparation for the event the next day. Yuktesh was taken aback by the lush greenery and soothing sound of running water throughout the property.

On Friday, Rick and Yuktesh set off for the 5-Star Westin Resort in Nusa Dua on the coast, a two hour drive away, through those beautiful terraced rice fields again.

The General Manager of the Westin, Bipan Kapur, who Yuktesh had met earlier in the year, hosted lunch and at 2pm, the Insight Briefing commenced, to 21 eager hotel managers.
Yuktesh, with his usual polished performance, guided the attendees through the processes and gave them the Blessing to top off an enlightening afternoon. Some of the managers were very happy to share their experiences with Divine Presence and an array of very positive feedback forms on the afternoon’s event was received.

A casual chat afterwards, with Bipan and businessman Steve Dawson, rounded off a wonderful day, with Yuktesh acting as visiting DJ on his trusty iPod on the long drive home!!

Saturday the 25th September, found Rick and Yuktesh preparing for the Insight briefing at the Centre and in likeness to the film “Forest Gump” and his classic statement “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get”, Yuktesh and Rick had no idea just how many people would turn up. Such is the casual life of Bali!!
As it turned out, fifteen keenly spiritual attendees arrived and soon assimilated into the wonderful, natural ambience of Namaste Retreat Centre.

Yuktesh delivered an impeccable Insight discussion and towards the end, many of the group expressed their new-found insights.

The morning session closed with some wonderful Blessings delivered by Yuktesh, which left everyone in a blissed out state, hungry, but blissed out!! Or should that be Blessed Out?

So the next obvious phase to our day was simple – eat the amazing pot luck lunch, for which we were all grateful for everyone’s contribution.

Here we are, tucking into wonderful, wholesome, organic salads, pasta, vegetarian pie and hummus, to satisfy our hungry appetites. In the morning our spiritual curiosity was satisfied, and at lunch time our bellies were satisfied!! Life is about balance.

The day has been filled with a sense of community, sharing and love. Connecting with our Higher Self and the Divine, provides nourishment for the soul.

In the afternoon, Yuktesh provided some excellent, spiritually wise answers, for those opting to do a one-on-one session with him, which rounded off a truly beautiful day.

Sunday 26th September – Yuktesh and Rick visited the sacred Besakih Temple at the foot of Mt Agung. This is the oldest temple in Bali and dates back to the 8th century. Out of respect, it is required to wear traditional Balinese costume and

so they did! It is said that Mt Agung represents Mother Earth’s Six Chakra and it is this mountain that drew the Hindu and Buddhist sages to this island centuries ago and why the island is imbued with a deep sense of spirituality, creativity, harmony and peace.
The previous day, was a celebration of Saraswati and the temple complex was full, but on this day, only a handful of tourists and local devotees were to be seen. The place is adorned with colourful flags, decorations, majestic statues, ornate carvings and the wonderful sweet fragrance of incense fills the air. Gnarled old frangipani trees send their blossoms to ground, to add to the flowers brought by the worshipers.
There is a palpable energy to this place that is unlike anything Yuktesh had experienced before. Perhaps its best described as a deep reverence, respect and honour for the forefathers who created the temple complex and to the adoring followers who visit it with love and devotion in their hearts. This is the heart of Hinduism in Bali and its effects radiate to every nook and cranny on the island, affectionately called – The Island of the Gods.

And so another day came to a close, with Yuktesh delving deeper and deeper into the rich culture of Bali and eagerly anticipating the good work that the One World Academy can do here to help the people of Bali to awaken, and in doing so, raise the collective consciousness of humanity.
